Beyond The African American Experience
(Education)

 

Creating a Curriculum of Impact in African American History (9-12)

This workshop focuses on both the elements necessary to effectively teach African American History on the secondary (High School) level and the importance of connecting the African American experience to that of the African Diaspora

This workshop focuses on the elements, research and practices that are necessary to writing an effective and culturally competent African American History curriculum for students on the secondary level.

This workshop focuses on assisting mentoring organizations and school based mentoring programs on implementing mentoring techniques, from an Eastern culture point of view, than elevates the role of the mentee in the mentoring relationship.

 

Redefining Black Male Achievement

Narratives and words matter. This workshop focuses on assisting non profit organizations and educational systems in revisiting, revising and re-imaging their narratives on how Black Male Achievement is defined.

Training for Leadership (Youth)

Workshop for Mentoring and School Based Organizations or Youth that focuses on implementing the 8 Critical Practices to transform young people into leaders of impact and influence in their community.

The impact of any organization or educational institution is dependent on its leadership. This workshop is focused on providing leaders the critical practices necessary to lead non profit and mentoring organizations.

 

Connecting Cultures Across the Classroom

This workshop focuses on addressing the challenges that many educators in K-12 face in effectively communicating and connecting with students of other cultures and socio-economic backgrounds. We cover the 8 Critical Practices educators must implement to strengthen their relationships with their diverse classroom which can lead to greater academic outcomes.
